Here we go
I guess we will start in the NBA, which is pulling the limelight from any other sport with the “second season” in full swing. With that i mean the playoffs. I must say that the playoffs have been very entertaining. At least the Western Conference (not so much for the Leastern Conference). As I speak the Lakers are going to finally send those crappy spurs home. I can not explain to you how much I hate the spurs. The best news league wise is that from now on flops will be penalized by fines from the league (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3416579). That means you Manu and Tim Duncan. I swear these guys flop every time they get the ball. I can’t wait until they retire.
Aside from that rant, it appears that it may in fact be a Laker-Celtic Final. That would be great but I don’t buy all of the other bloggers and columists optimism. Lets face it, the Celtics are not going to be great for good. They went for broke. Garnett, Cassell, and Ray Allen will retire within a year or two, possibly bringing Paul Pierce with them. That will leave the C’s in terrible condition, so this will not be a rival via the 70’s and 80’s. The Lakers will send them home losers in 5 possibly six and that is in the hope that they survive the Pistons.
Chicago
Way to go, with only a 1.7% chance of getting the first pick there you go. And the best part is, now you can actually give a coach a reason to come here. Before the draft, you had nothing really to offer, now you have something great to offer: maybe a winning season next year. Good luck for that.
Quick thoughts on other sports
As far as the french open goes—Go Nadal, may you whip Federer in the Finals, please please beat him. I do not have a horse in this race because Roddick pulled out and Blake was beaten.
[Update, Spurs down by 7 with 6 minutes to go. Boy do I hate Duncan moping around the floor]
The brakets were released in college baseball this past weekend.

Boy I can only look at this two ways, either Ole MIss got screwed or the committee really did not believe in The U’s 47-8 record. Ole Miss received a 3 seed in the #1 bracket in the land. That means they are the worst 3 seed in the country. You cannot tell that is true. No way. Arkansas didn’t even make the SEC tourney, but they get a better shot. How about Cal and Oklahoma, we have better records than each of those. Even Alabama got a better draw than Ole Miss, How does that make sense. You can’t explain it because there is nothing there.
ON that I will leave. I would love to say that I have been real busy and that is why I haven’t updated (and to some extent that is true) but that isn’t all true.
I’ll keep up, just keep checking in.
